CLIENT

Technical advances in composite materials and the resurgence in interest in custom surfboards
has resulted in one of the finest custom surfboards produced. The new 'Quiver' range is making
waves worldwide, with interest from the world's best surfers. The shaper for the 'Quiver'
range is Luke Hart, who shapes boards for the whole of Europe.

Hart Surfboards can be found at the Seabase factory in Newquay, Cornwall.

OBJECTIVE

Hart Surfboards is a brand new company set up in Newquay, Cornwall. Luke Hart the creator is
a well respected shaper in the UK and decided to set up his own brand under which his
surfboards would be shaped. He needed a brand and identity designed for the company and
came to Oracle Design in early 2009.

SOLUTION

We designed a main logo for the company, as well as smaller logos and graphics for the
surfboards themselves. The main logo consited of using the letter 'H' from the 'Hart' name
and the fish graphic was related to Luke Hart personally through his family, so we made
a vector cartoon graphic for this which is placed on the underside of each surboard,
where the shaper himself personally signs.
