Design agency continues to go from strength to strength, building business on home turf

Cornwall design agency, Oracle Design, is about to celebrate its eighth year in business and as a result of its thriving success, has steadily increased its client portfolio. Oracle Design has also recently appointed several new members to its team to help deliver various design and web projects for clients, based around the county.

Cornwall design agency, Oracle Design was founded in 2008 by Managing and Creative Director, Andrew Stone, and specialises in creative graphic design, innovative branding solutions, web development and 3D design. The business developed swiftly, building up its reputation through word of mouth and recommendation.

To date, the company has gained a broad range of clients across a variety of different sectors, including tourism, retail, business to business and education. Current clients include Proper Cornish Food Co., Retallack Resort and Spa, Combined Universities in Cornwall, Furniss Biscuits and Newquay Business Improvement District (BID). Its colourful portfolio of clients stretches across 110 businesses and organisations throughout the company’s existence.

Despite starting the business in the midst of a recession, Oracle Design has continued to go from strength to strength. A winning combination of hard work, determination and creativity (plus a bit of surfing in between), has seen the business flourish, right on Stone’s home turf of Newquay:

“We’re incredibly proud of where we are today and I’m so pleased to have built my business in the town I grew up in. I studied my degree at Falmouth University and have worked for some fantastic local and international companies in the past; but nothing beats running your own business on your home turf.”

Stone continues: “Newquay has previously been in the shadow of the likes of Truro and Falmouth, but it is definitely emerging as a creative hub with so much talent coming through. It’s an exciting time to be running a design agency in the south west.”

Eager to maximise local talent and continue to grow the business, Oracle has now teamed up with a web developer, another graphic designer and, most recently, a 3D designer, working from the agency’s new office space in Newquay.

“It’s an exciting time for us as a team,” says Andrew. “It’s been amazing to see our hard work over the last seven years continue to pay off, with an ever-growing client base and enthusiastic team members. We’re looking forward to where the future takes us.”
